CHRIS SCARFFE
Chris is a professional underwater camera operator, photographer and Divemaster with over 15 years experience in the broadcast television industry. He has worked all over the globe but he now specialises in documenting the underwater world of Madagascar with our own in-house broadcast quality equipment.
He has been contracted by many major TV Broadcasters including the BBC, The Discovery Channel and Vice. Recent Credits include The BBC’s The Octopus in My House, PBS’s When Whales Walked and Vice’s Hamilton’s Pharmacopeia series.
MICHEL “GOFF” STROGOFF
Goff grew up in the southwest of Madagascar as part of semi-nomadic fishing tribe known as the Vezo. As a result he spent countless hours sailing up and down much of the west coast of Madagascar fishing and spearfishing and so he is a natural in the water. In more recent years he became involved in marine conservation and community education and is a PADI assistant Dive Instructor. Since meeting MFP’s founder Chris he has worked as an assistant camera operator on broadcast productions and has captured captivating images for NGO’s. In addition he has worked as a fixer, translator and advisor on a host of marine related projects. Clients include the BBC, Viceland, Blue Ventures and Vice on HBO. He was recently selected to be on the judging panel for the 2021 United Nations World Ocean Day, photography competition.

MFP has all it’s in house broadcast quality equipment for film and photography. This includes a Sony FS7 with Sealux underwater housing and a Sony A7sii/rii with a Nauticam housing in addition to a range of wide angle and macro set ups.

As underwater specialists we can not only get the footage or photos you need but advise on the best places to dive, the where and when of capturing imagery of the amazing marine life here as well as organise dive equipment and boats through our network of trusted operators. Our experienced producers and fixers can also work side by side with you to develop story lines and help to obtain the necessary media or scientific permits.
